Wisdom Teeth

Magicland Shares Some Wisdom About Wisdom Teeth

Between the ages of 14 to 18, a young person typically gets her or his wisdom teeth, which are usually the last to come in. Unfortunately, for some teens, there’s no room for wisdom teeth to come in properly if they’re blocked by gum, bone or another tooth. This can cause a lot of pain, infection or even damage to nearby healthy teeth. And even wisdom teeth that come in without any trouble can suddenly cause problems later in life.

At Magicland, we like to examine young persons between the ages of 14 and 18 to evaluate the position and health of wisdom teeth. That way, we can let you know how the wisdom teeth are developing, well before problems set in. If wisdom teeth need to be removed, it’s generally best to do that while your young person is in her or his teens, when healing and recovery is easiest.
